When I woke up this morning, I suddenly wanted to ride up to Ohiopyle, PA and watch some play boaters. I couldn't explain to you why I had this feeling, I just did. So I was gassed up and headed out of town by 830 this morning. The ride out of town was mostly uneventful except for the cager who pulled out of the oncoming lane and right into my lane in order to pass two bicyclists. If hadn't clamped on the binders, hard, dude never would have made it. With most of the braking accomplished, I was able to raise my left hand and voice and give the old buzzard the ol' You're number one!
So I get up to Ohiopyle and, whaddyaknow? The once annual Falls Race is on for this weekend. The actual race was yesterday, but the park service was still letting the registered competitors shoot the falls today. It was great fun to watch. Sorry about the photography. I sure wish I could make my digital camera take a picture within a reasonable and predictable timeframe after pressing the button.

Yes. It seems we can tolerate certain citizens going over the falls in kayaks, but we'll have no hooligans standing on these most dangerous rocks. Officer friendly sneaks up on this couple and tells them, literally, to take a hike.
